This book is perfect for kids who are learning to sleep in their own beds. It’s a good read, especially for adults like me who have trouble sleeping but not because I want to sleep in my parents’ bed!
I really liked how the book showed everyone having their own space.

This is such a cute book for little ones, and it teaches them a great lesson about sleeping in their own beds through the night. The author wrote this book because of her daughter, Lily’s, experience with her own son, who struggled with sleeping through the night, going to his parents’ room in the wee hours of the morning, and waking them up. And so this story was born. Sleepy Bear wakes up and gets out of bed when his parents and toys are asleep, and instead of waking his parents up, he decides to get back into bed because he realizes how cozy it is, falling back asleep by himself, and waking up proud the next morning that he slept the whole night in his own bed. This is the perfect book for any little ones who are struggling to sleep through the night, and it has adorable and bright.

This was such a cute little book about sleeping in your own bed. A wonderful story to read to a toddler that is transitioning to their big kid bed. It sweetly talks about how everyone in the house is still asleep, even the playthings, so the child should probably climb back into their cozy bed and rest. A lovely story and I would recommend it to parents of toddlers who may or may not be having trouble keeping to their own beds! The illustrations in this book just added to the ambiance, so perfectly, kind of dark and ready for sleepytime!

What a lovely short story for teaching little kids a little bit of structure and self-assurance. While not personally exactly, I’m aware of the struggle parents go through when trying to get their kids to sleep the entire night by themselves the first time and on without disrupting their much needed sleep. It’s not only a functional story if you think about it but it can teach a child to self-sooth early on. The little tally counter Sleepy Bear is encouraged to fill can easily translate in real life to helping kids do some chores or stuff they should but don’t want to by making it a little game.
